Plaza Optical
Plaza Optical is our on site optical shop located within the Advanced Eye Institute Thibodaux and Vacherie offices. The Thibodaux location has been around for over 30 years, and we are excited to have just opened our new Vacherie location! We specialize in eyeglass wear, sun wear and contact lenses. We have two certified opticians who are experienced at fitting customers and helping with all of their optical needs in a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere.
We are excited to offer over 100 lens options. Plaza Optical carries Varilux lenses, which provide sharp vision at every distance. Varilux lenses can fit virtually any frame size or shape. Varilux lenses are also available with Crizal reflective treatment, which reduces the glare that causes eye fatigue, as well as provides a scratch resistant surface and UV protection.
Plaza Optical is also proud to offer over 600 frame options. We carry designer frames such as Ray Bans, Maui Jim and Costa del Mar. We also carry on of the most popular children’s line of frames called Miraflex. Miraflex offers frames that are made with absolutely no metal and come with a lifetime warranty.
At Plaza Optical, our certified opticians outfit quite a few contact lenses. We are proud to help teach you about putting in your lenses, removing your lenses, your different lens options, as well as educate you on contact lens hygiene. Your eyes are important so we need to make sure you understand the responsibilities that come with using and comfortably wearing contacts.
