Quentin D. Falgoust, M.D.
With over 30 years of experience in South Louisiana, Quentin D. Falgoust, M.D. has performed over 35,000 surgical procedures.
Dr. Falgoust is the most experienced LASIK surgeon in the Houma-Thibodaux region. Since 1999 he has performed over 4,000 LASIK procedures.
In addition to LASIK, Dr. Falgoust is the area's most experienced Cataract surgeon and is on the leading edge of refractive lensectomy procedures such as the Rezoom Multifocal Lens Implant that is helping both cataract patients and people who aren't the best candidates for LASIK.
Dr. Falgoust is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Medicine and completed his Ophthalmology Residency at Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans .
Satish Arora, M.D.
Satish Arora, M.D., joined our practice effective August 1, 2007 and is seeing patients in both their Houma and Thibodaux offices.
Dr. Arora is the first fellowship trained retina specialist to live and practice full time in the Thibodaux and Houma area. This is exciting because comprehensive and emergency services are now available to patients with conditions of the retina or diabetic eye disease. For years, patients have had to travel to New Orleans or Baton Rouge for many of these services.
Dr. Arora offers a full range of vitreoretinal surgery services, including:
- Retinal detachments and tears
- Diabetic retinopathy
- Macular holes and membranes
- Vitreous hemorrhage
- Macular degeneration
- Ocular Trauma
- Lucentis and Avastin Injections
Dr. Arora was born and raised in Texas and received his Medical Degree from University of Texas in Galveston. Dr. Arora moved to New Orleans to complete his internship and ophthalmology residency at LSU/Ochsner. Once finishing his ophthalmology residency he furthered his training by completing a 2 year retina fellowship at LSU.
We are glad this Texas native decided to stay in Louisiana and offer his specialty to our area.
Edward Stahel, M.D.
Board Certified Ophthalmologist Edward Stahel, M.D. joined our practice September 1, 2007, and is seeing patients in both our Houma and Thibodaux practice as well as seeing patients at Kidd Vision Center’s Morgan City and Franklin offices on a every other week basis. Dr. Stahel’s practice will focus on medical and routine ophthalmology and Glaucoma.
Dr. Stahel was born and raised in New Orleans and received his Medical Degree from Louisiana State University Medical School. Dr. Stahel started his career practicing in New Orleans and then practiced the last 10 years in the Mississippi Gulf coast until Hurricane Katrina forced him to relocate.
We are fortunate to gain Dr. Stahel’s 20+ years experience in ophthalmology and in the treatment of glaucoma.
